What I ate: March 1, 2013

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Reheat of the filling from Wednesday in a freshly heated tortilla.

Lunch: Chana masala with rice. And a Saranac pale ale. This is the last of batch that is so spicy I needed something to cool off my mouth!

Dinner: Rigatoni with prosciutto broccoli and tomato in spicy vodka cream sauce .

What I ate: March 2, 2013

Breakfast: Raisin toast with butter and a side of bacon.

Lunch: Beef with bean sprouts and scallion stir-fry .

Dinner: I'm 90 % certain this is the bison from the Interlaken restaurant at the Interlaken Inn, Lake Placid, NY. We froze the leftovers for Roscoe, but then I realized exactly how big this piece was (5.2 oz.), so I had it for dinner. With a salt and olive oil rubbed baked potato.

What I ate: March 3, 2013

Breakfast: Bagel, lox and cream cheese on a homemade whole wheat bagel with tomato and red onion. And a mimosa.

Lunch: Beef with bean sprouts and scallion stir-fry .

Dinner: Iron Chef Chinese Buffet with Mom and Dad.

What I ate: March 4 - 7, 2013

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon . With one organic egg, half a slice of Barowski's wheat bread with butter and 3 slices of bacon.

Lunch: I rarely eat McDonalds, except when traveling. Quarter pounder with cheese and French fries.

Dinner: Cheesesteak sandwich and French fries at Bolton Valley ski area. And Switchback beer.

Breakfast: Sausage, egg and cheddar cheese English muffin sandwich from the Bolton Valley deli.

Lunch: Turkey chili at Bolton Valley. And Switchback beer.

Dinner: Grilled chicken sandwich and French fries at Bolton Valley. And Switchback beer.

Breakfast: Sausage, egg and cheddar cheese English muffin sandwich from the Bolton Valley deli.

Lunch: Clam chowder at Bolton Valley. And Switchback beer.

Dinner: Chicken pot pie at Bolton Valley. This was really good! With Switchback beer. I drank a lot of beer on this trip.

Breakfast: Sausage, egg and cheddar cheese English muffin sandwich from the Bolton Valley deli. I probably should have tried something else, but it was really good!

Lunch: Travel stop at McDonalds for a quarter pounder with cheese.

Dinner: Meatloaf, rice and gravy. Back at home!

What I ate: March 8, 2013

Breakfast: Raisin toast with butter and a side of bacon.

Lunch: Twice-cooked pork with scallion and broccoli stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Tingua poblana, pork with smoky tomato sauce and potatoes . With a warm flour tortilla on the side.

What I ate: March 9, 2013

Breakfast: Bagel with butter and a side of bacon.

Lunch: Swiss chard with pancetta and quinoa .

Dinner: Homemade Sausage, green pepper and mushroom pizza (new post). I made two, and this is half of one.

What I ate: March 10, 2013

Breakfast: Bagel, lox and cream cheese on a homemade whole wheat bagel with tomato and red onion. And a mimosa.

Lunch: Grilled Hebrew National hot dog on a whole wheat hot dog roll with Dijon mustard and pickle relish. And Kettle Chips barbecue potato chips.

Dinner: Iron Chef Chinese Buffet with Mom.

What I ate: March 11, 2013

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon . With one organic egg, half a slice of Barowski's wheat bread with butter and 3 slices of bacon.

Lunch: Beef with scallion and broccoli stir-fry and rice.

Dinner: Sort of goulash with 1.8 oz. penne pasta (weight before cooking), ground beef and 6.0 oz. homemade tomato sauce.

What I ate: March 12, 2013

Breakfast: Homemade Blueberry muffin and bacon, both previously frozen.

Lunch: Beef with snow peas stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Homemade chicken fingers (6.0 oz., previously frozen) and seasoned Cascadian organic French fries (3.0 oz.).

What I ate: March 13, 2013

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg.

Lunch: Turkey and cabbage stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Mom's barbecued pork (previously frozen) and rice.

What I ate: March 14, 2013

Breakfast: Sausage, egg and cheese English muffin . With homemade sausage, an organic egg and Cabot cheddar cheese on a whole wheat English muffin.

Lunch: Chana masala and rice.

Dinner: Braised beef short ribs and garlic mashed potatoes.

What I ate: March 15, 2013

Breakfast: Pancakes and bacon, both previously frozen.

Lunch: Pork with scallion and broccoli stir-fry and rice.

Dinner: Beef stroganoff .

What I ate: March 16, 2013

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Reheat of the filling from Wednesday in a freshly heated tortilla.

Lunch: Sausage and green pepper stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Homemade thin-crust pizza with Italian sausage, mushrooms and green peppers , previously frozen.

What I ate: March 17, 2013

Breakfast: Bagel, lox and cream cheese on a homemade whole wheat bagel with tomato and red onion. And a mimosa.

Lunch: Bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich . With one slice of Barowski's wheat bread, cut in half and 3 slices of bacon. With Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips.

Dinner: Iron Chef Chinese Buffet with Mom and Dad.

What I ate: March 18, 2013

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon . With one organic egg, half a slice of Barowski's wheat bread with butter and 3 slices of bacon.

Lunch: Pork with broccoli, scallions and noodles .

Dinner: Japanese-style beef curry with rice.

What I ate: March 19, 2013

Breakfast: Homemade Blueberry muffin and bacon, both previously frozen.

Lunch: Beef with snow peas stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Bacon cheeseburger . With a homemade 4.4 oz. (before cooking) beef patty, Cabot cheddar cheese, 1 slice of bacon, Stubbs barbecue sauce and lettuce on a whole wheat hamburger roll. And 3.0 oz. Cascadian organic shoestring French fries, seasoned.

What I ate: March 20, 2013

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg.

Lunch: Sopresata English muffin sandwich with Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips.

Dinner: Steak and baked potato . Actually, I'm almost certain this is a piece of bison from the Interlaken restaurant at the Interlaken Inn, Lake Placid, NY. We brought back leftovers from Roscoe, but it was so good I decided to eat them myself.

What I ate: March 21, 2013

Lunch: Chana Masala with rice.

Dinner: Meatloaf , rice, gravy and green beans.

What I ate: March 22, 2013

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Reheat of the filling from Wednesday in a freshly heated tortilla.

Lunch: Asian lettuce wrap , with rice instead of lettuce, and not in a wrap. Basically a spicier version of crushed hamburger . With 4.0 oz. of ground beef wrap filling (after cooking).

Dinner: Chicken paprika in sour cream sauce with broccoli and rice. And a small glass of Kono New Zealand sauvignon blanc.

What I ate: March 23, 2013

Breakfast: Homemade cranberry scones and a side of bacon.

Lunch: Turkey sandwich at Plattekill Mountain ski area. With potato chips and a Switchback beer.

Dinner: Mom's pot roast at Mom and Dad's. There was another serving, some salad and some wine (Cupcake, Red Velvet), too.

What I ate: March 24, 2013

Breakfast: Grapefruit and sausage and Mom and Dad's.

Lunch: Mom's tuna sashimi at Mom and Dad's with my nephew and brother-in-law.

Dinner: Iron Chef Chinese Buffet with Mom, Dad and my nephew.

What I ate: March 25 - 28, 2013

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon . With one organic egg, half a slice of Barowski's wheat bread with butter and 3 slices of bacon.

Lunch: Roast beef focaccia sandwich at 3 Squares Café in Vergennes, VT. Very good!

Dinner: Cheese steak sandwich at James Moore Tavern at Bolton Valley, VT. And a couple Switchback beers.

Breakfast: Sausage, egg and cheese English muffin at the deli at Bolton Valley.

Lunch: Leftover sandwich from yesterday with Madhouse Munchies barbecue potato chips. Having a room with a kitchen and a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishes is handy!

Dinner: Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and onion at James Moore Tavern at Bolton Valley. And a Switchback beer. I think there was an afternoon beer too…

Breakfast: Omelet with ham, peppers and cheddar cheese, home fries and wheat toast at Easy Street Cafe in Waitsfield, VT. This was really good - it wasn't just green bell peppers, it had a nice mix of peppers!

Lunch: Chili (with beef and cheese) at Mad River Glen, VT. With Sierra Nevada pale ale.

Dinner: Fish and chips at James Moore Tavern at Bolton Valley. And a Switchback beer.

Breakfast: Corned beef hash, scrambled eggs and wheat toast at Bridge Street Cafe in Richmond, VT.

Lunch: Fried clams and French fries at Salty's Pub and Bistro in Clifton Park, NY. If you're driving the Northway, I-87, past Exit 8A, it's worth a stop by, as long as you're not in a big hurry.

Dinner: Back at home! Too much food the last few days, and also too much laundry, scanning and entering receipts into QuickBooks, and uploading food blog pictures, so reheat of frozen homemade sausage, green pepper and mushroom pizza.

What I ate: March 29, 2013

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Normally on a Friday this would be a reheat, but since I was in Vermont on Wednesday this is the especially tasty fresh version.

Lunch: Mom's fried rice at Mom and Dad's with my nephew.

Dinner: Sushi at Mount Fuji Japanese restaurant in Oneonta, NY with Mom, Dad and my nephew. And a glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. They don't have a very extensive wine by the glass list!

What I ate: March 30, 2013

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Reheat of the filling from yesterday in a freshly heated tortilla.

Lunch: Mom's fried fish at Mom and Dad's with my nephew.

Dinner: Mom's tempura with Mom, Dad, my nephew and my brother-in-law. Shrimp, fish, asparagus, green pepper and onion.

What I ate: March 31, 2013

Breakfast: Half a grapefruit and 3 sausage at Mom and Dad's.

Lunch: Mom's shrimp and egg stir-fry at Mom and Dad's with Mom, Dad, my nephew and my brother-in-law.

Dinner: Spaghetti with Italian sausage . With 1.7 oz. spaghetti (weight before cooking), 6.0 oz. homemade tomato sauce and 1 spicy Italian sausage.
