Sliced ham

I got a number of these John F. Martin & Sons mini-hams, 3 lbs. (48 oz.) each.

I used one ham to make ham dinner.

Defrost

I defrost the ham in the refrigerator for around 48 hours, give or take.

Prep ham

You don't have to peel the ham, but I like to.

I also sliced the ham lengthwise. This isn't necessary either, but because I eat a half sandwich, the slices fit on a half slice of bread better when this size.

Medium-sliced for breakfast

This is for ham, egg, and cheese English muffin or sautéed as Eggs, toast, and ham, as as alternative to Eggs, toast, and bacon.

Sliced this 4mm thick with a 2.4 oz. serving. Make 6 servings, vacuum sealed and frozen.

As eggs, toast, and ham.

Diced for omelette

This is for spicy western omelette.

Sliced this by hand around 6mm thick, then diced into cubes, 1.8 oz. serving. Make 6 servings, vacuum sealed and frozen.

2024-06-17: Switched to making 8 servings of 1.8 oz. diced.

Thin-sliced for sandwich

This is for ham and Swiss cheese sandwich.

Sliced this 2.5mm thick, with a 2.6 oz. serving. This is not super-thin deli sliced, but works better on my inexpensive meat slicer.

Made 6 servings, vacuum sealed and frozen.

2024-06-17

Switched to making 4 servings of 2.4 oz. and 2 servings of 1.9 oz, what was left after portioning out everything else.

Pre-sliced ham

I got a pre-sliced 24 oz. ham and it worked really well.

4x breakfast ham servings (2.7 oz. each)

7x 1.8 oz servings diced for omelette, plus 1 small 1.2 oz. serving
