What I ate: April 5, 2024
Day 1 of 5 of my pre-colonoscopy low-fiber diet.
Breakfast: Canadian bacon, egg, and cheese English muffin. With a white English muffin, which I had to get special for the low-fiber diet and usually it's whole wheat.
Snack: 3 Danish butter cookies. 1.0 oz. pretzels.
My normal morning snacks including Sriracha chex mix, peanuts, cashews, almonds, beef jerky, and popcorn, all forbidden on the low-fiber diet!
Made a small batch of homemade turkey breakfast sausage patties (updated recipe) since I probably shouldn't have my regular pork sausage patties (I assume they don't qualify as lean pork), or bacon. Reserved 5.3 oz of the 16 oz. package of 93/7 ground turkey for a turkey burger.
Lunch: Ham and Swiss cheese on white bread, potato chips, peaches in juice (50 cal). No lettuce, salad, or whole grain bread on the low-fiber diet.
Snack: 4 Saltine crackers and Cabot seriously sharp Vermont cheddar. I can't have popcorn or Triscuits on the low-fiber diet.
Dinner: Roasted chicken, rice, gravy, with no vegetables. A glass of Bota Box sauvignon blanc.
Snack: 2.0 oz. Wavy Lays potato chips. 1 Danish butter cookie.
Weight at beginning of the day: 133.8 lbs. Weight at the beginning of the next day: 133.4 lbs.
