What I ate: July 6, 2024

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon.

Made the filling for an spicy western omelette for Tuesday. And the filling for chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeƱo, and egg for breakfast Wednesday. Froze the serving for next Friday.

Prepped for lunch and dinner.

Snack: 1.0 oz. Sriracha chex mix. 0.8 oz. peanuts (136 cal). 0.8 oz. cashews (128 cal).

Made a 1.15 lb. pork roast, which was surprisingly inexpensive at $3.01 into:

Made 8.0 oz. taco seasoned ground beef. Vacuum sealed and froze 3x 1.8 oz. and 1x 1.5 oz. packages.

2 packages of 4.0 oz. ground beef raw, vacuum sealed and frozen.

And the rest for sous vide pork for stir-fry. 3x 2.8 oz. and 1x 1.9 oz. servings, vacuum sealed and frozen.

It's summer and it's hot, and there are 5 more days until trash day, so I often vacuum seal and freeze meat trash.

Lunch: Spicy tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread. Salad with lettuce mix, cucumber, tomato, and ranch dressing.

My grocery store stopped carrying Heidelberg bread. I've been using the store brand Nature's Own 100% whole wheat, which is okay. It's a reasonable number of calories and does not have much added sugar. But it's really, really soft. Like Wonderbread soft. It doesn't seem right to me!

I tried Dave's Killer Bread, 21 whole grains and seeds. I like this one better!

Snack: Crackers and the last of the Toma Rashi cheese, and two pieces of the triple creme brie.

I froze the rest of the triple creme brie.

Dinner: Shrimp and eggs stir-fry.

Snack: 1.0 oz. Cape Cod potato chips (140 cal).

Weight at beginning of the day: 136.2 lbs. Weight at the beginning of the next day: 136.0 lbs.
