What I ate: November 1, 2012

Breakfast: Bacon, egg and cheese English muffin sandwich . With 3 slices of bacon, one organic egg and Cabot cheddar cheese on a Barowski's 12-grain English muffin.

Lunch: Asian lettuce wrap , hold the lettuce. I served it with rice, and it was really good. Sort of a spicy and crunchy, because of the water chestnuts, version of Japanese-style crushed hamburger .

Dinner: Filet mignon steak and salt and oil-rubbed baked potato with butter and sour cream.

What I ate: November 2, 2012

Breakfast: Raisin toast with butter and 2 slices of bacon. With homemade cinnamon raisin bread .

Lunch: Hot dog and Kettle Chips barbecue potato chips.

Dinner: Chicken fried steak (new recipe) with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy.

What I ate: November 3, 2012

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Reheat of the filling from Wednesday on a freshly heated tortilla.

Lunch: Ham and cheese sandwich . With 2.2 oz. deli ham, 3/4 slice of Swiss cheese and Dijon mustard on one slice of Barowski's wheat bread, cut in half. And Kettle Chips barbecue potato chips.

Dinner: Chicken and cheese enchilada with 1.0 oz. tortilla chips and Green Mountain Gringo salsa. I reduced the serving size from 2 to 1 enchilada.

What I ate: November 4, 2012

Breakfast: Bagel, lox and cream cheese on a homemade whole wheat bagel with tomato and red onion. And a mimosa. And wrong setting on the camera caused some focus issues.

Lunch: Spicy vegetarian chili and jalapeño cornbread .

Dinner: Iron Chef Chinese Buffet with Mom and Dad.

What I ate: November 5, 2012

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon . With one organic egg, half a slice of Barowski's wheat bread with butter and 3 slices of bacon.

Lunch: Pork with broccoli and scallion stir-fry .

Dinner: Meatloaf, rice and gravy . There probably should have been some peas or something green on the plate, but there wasn't. I started freezing my meatloaf with 1 1/2 slices in the vacuum sealed bag, so it's pretty close to a 5.0 oz. serving, which is a good size. Reheated for 45 minutes in the sous vide at 136°F from frozen.

What I ate: November 6, 2012

Breakfast: Homemade Blueberry muffin and bacon, both previously frozen.

Lunch: Shrimp and onion stir-fry with spinach . And rice.

Dinner: Homemade fried chicken breast sandwich with seasoned French fries.

What I ate: November 7, 2012

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. And a glass of orange juice.

Lunch: Grilled chicken Caesar salad . With Drew's Caesar dressing, 2.8 oz. chicken, a little freshly grated Parmesan cheese. And a homemade whole wheat and oat roll with butter.

Dinner: Mom's fried rice. Previously frozen and reheated boil-in-bag.

What I ate: November 8, 2012

Breakfast: Sausage, egg and cheese English muffin . With homemade sausage made from a lean pork roast, an organic egg and Cabot cheddar cheese on a whole wheat English muffin.

Lunch: Ham and Swiss cheese sandwich . On one slice of Barowski's wheat bread, cut in half. With Kettle Chips barbecue potato chips. There's a little less ham than usual because there was less left in the package than I thought.

Dinner: Chicken and cheese enchilada . And 1.0 oz. tortilla chips and Green Mountain Gringo salsa. This was previously vacuum sealed and frozen; I defrosted it then reheated in the oven for 15 minutes at 375°F. It wasn't quite as good as fresh, but it was pretty good!

What I ate: November 9, 2012

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Reheat of the filling from Wednesday and a freshly heated flour tortilla.

Lunch: Salame Toscano English muffin sandwich . The meat is lightly browned in a sauté pan and the Barowski's 12-grain English muffin toasted. With Kettle Chips barbecue potato chips.

Dinner: Spaghetti with Italian sausage . With 1.8 oz. spaghetti and homemade tomato sauce. This is from the batch where I accidentally used diced tomatoes instead of crushed, and didn't think to use the stick blender on it before dividing and vacuum sealing individual servings, so it's extra chunky!

What I ate: November 10, 2012

Breakfast: Pancakes and bacon. Both previously frozen.

Lunch: Grilled ham and cheese . With baked ham and 3/4 slice of Swiss cheese on one slice of Barowski's wheat bread, cut in half. And Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips.

Dinner: Tingua poblano , pork with smoky tomato sauce and potatoes, previously frozen. And a warm tortilla on the side.

What I ate: November 11, 2012

Breakfast: Bagel, lox and cream cheese on a homemade whole wheat bagel with tomato and red onion. And a mimosa.

Lunch: Grilled Hebrew National hot dog with Dijon mustard and pickle relish on a whole wheat hot dog bun. With Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips.

Dinner: Iron Chef Chinese Buffet with Mom and Dad.

What I ate: November 12, 2012

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon . With one organic egg, half a slice of Barowski's wheat bread with butter and 3 slices of bacon.

Lunch: Ham and cheese sandwich . With smoked baked ham, 3/4 of a slice of Swiss cheese on one slice of Barowski's wheat bread, cut in half. With Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips.

Dinner: Cheeseburger and seasoned French fries. With a 6.0 oz. grilled burger on a whole wheat hamburger bun and Cabot cheese. With 3.0 oz. Cascadian organic French fries.

What I ate: November 13, 2012

Breakfast: Homemade cinnamon raisin bread toast with butter and a side of bacon.

Lunch: Asian lettuce wrap filling, minus the lettuce, with rice instead. I really like this dish - I'll have to prepare a larger batch and freeze it in slightly larger servings.

Dinner: Rigatoni with prosciutto and tomatoes in spicy vodka cream sauce.

What I ate: November 14, 2012

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. And a glass of orange juice.

Lunch: Twice-cooked pork with scallions, broccoli and noodles .

Dinner: Rib-eye steak and a salt and olive oil-rubbed baked potato with butter and sour cream.

What I ate: November 15, 2012

Breakfast: Bacon, egg and cheese English muffin sandwich . With 3 slices of bacon, one organic egg and Cabot cheddar cheese on a Barowski's whole wheat English muffin.

Lunch: Tuna salad sandwich and Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips. With Wild Planet tuna on one slice of Barowski's whole wheat bread, cut in half.

Dinner: 2 seasoned beef tacos with cheese, salsa and lettuce. And 1.0 oz. tortilla chips and Green Mountain Gringo spicy salsa.

What I ate: November 16, 2012

Breakfast: Corned beef hash, one egg and a homemade buttermilk biscuit with butter.

Lunch: Chana masala and rice. And also a Saranac Adirondack lager because my mouth was on fire after eating this!

Dinner: Crumb pork chop and rice with furikake.

What I ate: November 17, 2012

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg. Reheat of the filling from Wednesday and a freshly heated flour tortilla.

Lunch: Sausage and green pepper stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Homemade fried chicken breast sandwich with lettuce and wasabi mayonnaise on a Barowski's wheat hamburger roll with 3.0 oz. seasoned Cascadian organic French fries.

What I ate: November 18, 2012

Breakfast: Bagel, lox and cream cheese on a homemade whole wheat bagel with tomato and red onion. And a mimosa.

Lunch: Grilled ham and swiss cheese sandwich with Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips. With 2.1 oz. smoked ham on one slice of Barowski's wheat bread, cut in half.

Dinner: Iron Chef Chinese Buffet with Mom and Dad. I forgot to take a picture, but it pretty much looked like last week .

What I ate: November 19, 2012

Breakfast: Egg, toast and bacon . With one organic egg, half a slice of Barowski's wheat bread with butter and 3 slices of bacon.

Lunch: Twice-cooked pork, broccoli and scallion stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Meatloaf, rice and gravy .

What I ate: November 20, 2012

Breakfast: A homemade blueberry muffin and bacon.

Lunch: Ham and cheese sandwich . With 2.2 oz. smoked ham, 3/4 slice of Swiss cheese with Dijon mustard on one slice of Barowski's whole wheat bread, cut in half. And Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips.

Dinner: Spaghetti and meatballs . With 1.7 oz. (dry weight) spaghetti, 2 meatballs and homemade tomato sauce. This is from the batch that's abnormally chunky because I accidentally used diced instead of crushed tomatoes and didn't think to use the stick blender on it until after I vacuum sealed the individual servings.

What I ate: November 21, 2012

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg.

Lunch: Hot dog on a Barowski's wheat hot dog roll and Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips.

Dinner: Mom's salmon, rice. cabbage and salad.

Dinner: Mom's barbecued pork with rice and asparagus at Mom and Dad's.

Breakfast: Grapefruit, bacon and a Dunkin Donuts jelly donut.

Lunch: Mom's fried rice at Mom and Dad's.

Dinner: Mom's tempura: shrimp, fish, asparagus, green pepper and onion. With rice and salad.

What I ate: November 25, 2012

Breakfast: Waffles and sausage at Mom and Dad's. Waffles, incidentally, are the only thing I am allowed to cook in Mom's kitchen.

Lunch: Mom's shrimp and egg stir-fry at Mom and Dad's.

Dinner: Thanksgiving reprise. With turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and sweet potatoes.

Breakfast: Chorizo breakfast burrito with chorizo, onion, green pepper, jalapeño and egg.

Lunch: Homemade chicken soup with soba noodles and spinach.

Dinner: Homemade spicy Italian sausage and green pepper pizza .

Breakfast: Sausage, egg and cheese English muffin . With homemade sausage made from a lean pork roast, an organic egg and Cabot cheddar cheese on a whole wheat English muffin.

Lunch: Twice-cooked pork, broccoli and scallion stir-fry with rice.

Dinner: Cheesesteak sandwich and Kettle Chips hot jalapeño potato chips. The bread is a little mangled because I cut a big chunk out of the middle of the roll to make it less bready, but cut out a little too much!

What I ate: November 30, 2012

Dinner: Chicken paprika , rice and broccoli with sour cream sauce. And a glass of Rabbit Ridge chardonnay.
